Part Time Vacancy

Richmond Yorkshire Community Interest Company

Administration and Development Manager

As a not-for-profit Company we are looking for an individual who shares our values and has a track record of success.

You could have gained your experience working with other commercial concerns, social enterprises, or within the public sector.

The vacancy that we have will give the right candidate a great deal of scope in which to initiate their own ideas to shape this role and indeed the Company itself.

We are currently building-up a portfolio of standalone community ventures that are purely focussed on serving the people of Richmond and its environs, along with the thousands of visitors we attract year-round.  You will almost certainly have ‘a strong affinity for the town’ and appreciate its many attributes and challenges. We will expect you to provide evidence of your knowledge.

The person we appoint, should be able to demonstrate their ability to deliver strong administrative skills and to establish foolproof systems to ensure the smooth operation of Company projects.  You will be comfortable with either enacting an existing methodology or come up with your own sound solutions to progress how the Company conducts its business.

We are interested to find an individual who communicates empathetically with others both in terms of their ability to form good working relationships and in being able to write in a clear, creative, and concise manner.

You will need to have experience of the MS Office Suite of software or Apple equivalents and possibly be familiar with Google Workspace.  If you know how to use extra computer applications, related to design, accountancy, and email marketing this would be a huge bonus.

If you use social media or are acquainted with website content management software, there will be an additional opportunity for you to put these talents to good use.

We are recruiting at an early key stage in our development and have an initial workflow that will keep our appointee busy 5 hours each week. Ideally, the person we take on will be willing to expand their contribution as the Company grows and additional anticipated income materialises to finance the extra work.

We are prepared to remunerate the right person £20 per hour. As this appointment is only part time at this stage, we imagine that those applying will be happy to take on this assignment on a freelance basis.  We understand that this being the case, it is quite likely that the work which is done on behalf of the CIC will be accommodated amongst other commitments you might have.

To apply:  Complete the form below and don't forget to submit your CV

Thank you for your interest.
