Work with Richmond Yorkshire CIC!

Programme Manager

(Freelance, Part‑Time)

The Original Richmond Business and Tourism Association (ORBTA) were recently successful in securing a £150,000 grant from York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority (YNYCA) to deliver a series of events, activities and physical works aimed at improving the economic performance of Richmond between now and December 2027. Richmond Community Interest Company (CIC) will be supporting ORBTA with the delivery of the programme and are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to assist them.

Can you work flexibly and meet deadlines? Are you pro-active? The Programme Manager will provide the key link between the various Delivery Bodies in Richmond and the YNYCA with the administration of the following:

  1. Overall programme management keeping a close eye on the delivery of each element in line with agreed timescales. Your role will be to make sure the programme is delivered within the timescales and parameters agreed by an overall Steering Group established to run the programme.

  2. Oversight of all procurement of activities and items included in the bid. This will be in line with YNYCA procurement guidelines.

  3. Budget management. Receiving and processing payments, overseeing budgets in line with the agreement.

  4. Monitoring and recording the outputs generated which we are contracted to provide as part of the grant.

  5. Preparing quarterly returns on expenditure and outputs.

We are looking to engage someone part time on a freelance basis for the period to December 2027 with the successful candidate working from home. A fixed fee will be agreed to provide the services with payments made on a monthly basis.

So, if you are passionate about  Richmond and have the necessary experience to undertake the role, then we’d like to hear from you. If you would like to find out more about the role before applying, please email admin@richmondyorkshire.co.uk and label it ‘FAO David’. If you wish to submit an Expression of Interest and receive more information about the particular role and skills we are looking for, then please email admin@richmondyorkshire.co.uk before 5th June 2026.

We hope to make an appointment in June.
