Lisa Potts

They say when something important needs doing you should ask a busy person! This certainly applies to property law specialist, Lisa Potts, who took over as Managing Partner of Hunton & Garget Solicitors in 2015 following the retirement of her lifelong mentor, Stephen Garget. Lisa has four children at home; a campsite and holiday cottage business that she runs with her husband, and is a keen photographer and self-confessed boardgame geek. Time management, she admits, is her strongest skill!

Yet Lisa remains devoted to keeping Richmond buoyant and frequently volunteers her services to community groups. The CIC is grateful, not only for her guidance and steady legal hand, but also for her practical business experience.

It was her love of the TV show ‘Murder She Wrote’ that first drew her to the idea of becoming a solicitor. She told her grandfather about it at a very young age and despite one negative sixth-form tutor whose under-estimation of her abilities almost sent her down the wrong path, she remained undeterred, securing a place to study law at Northumbria University.

Lisa has lived and worked in Richmond for 20 years. Its people and businesses are at the heart of everything she does.
